Hey Ya'll. We're in Savannah right now, on Tybee Island. We were only using this as a 1 night stopover to FL but we arrived late Sunday night and decided to spend another night, as we've been driving significant distances each day since last Thursday and we all need a break from the car. Since Michigan, we've been in:

Cleveland, OH to visit Sandy, a friend of mine

Harrisburg, PA for Marc's business for two nights

Gettysburg for a short visit

Washington DC area to spend a night with Scotty, my college friend

Shenandoah National Park on Skyline Drive. Spent that night in Southern VA in a rural campground

Charlotte, NC with Marc's cousins, Kim & Christie

Savannah is hot and humid, but beautiful. We've been walking on the beach frequently - caught the tail end of sunrise this morning - and spent yesterday afternoon and evening in Savannah's Historic District, admiring the architecture and sampling the cuisine. After dark, we took a walking tour of the district, learning about the history of the old buildings and some of the hauntings claimed.

It's been a nice rest from driving before we head down to FL to visit with my uncle (my dad's brother) who happens to be on vacation in Daytona Beach (his childhood home), my godfather/dad's best friend from high school in Ocala, and eventually on to Tallahassee to see my brother and family friends. We'll spend 4-5 days there.
