Memories.I spent this past weekend in Michigan with Marc and his family, to attend a memorial gathering honoring his father. Ashes were scattered in meaningful places and memories were shared. Each of us has an amazing ability to impact the lives of others. Personalities come shining through when memories of those impacts are shared. Although I never met Marc's father, I feel that I've gotten to know him through the memories and experiences that have been shared with me. I am honored and touched to have been included in such a special event. Why do we tend to wait until after someone's gone to honor them and share how they've touched us? Have you been touched by someone? Do they know? Events like this weekend remind me to share now, not later, the impacts others have had on my life. To let them know now, not later, how much I value their presence. Most of us will never know how many folks we've touched and how many memories we've created. But rest assured - if you're willing to reach out, you will touch others and they, in turn, will touch you. And life will be that much brighter and richer for it. The little things truly do mean the most. They are what lasts beyond all else.
