A Thank You. As 2003 winds to a close, I'm getting more reflective on the events, struggles, and growth I've experienced over the past year. There are many people out there that have touched me in some special way during '03. I'd like to briefly say thank you to each of these folks. These are in no specific order.
THANK YOU...
Beth:For all the phone calls, the emails, the time, energy and love you give to me. For spending so much time with me pontificating and philosophizing about all possible aspects of life. You are a huge source of strength and support.
Denise: For the "jackass reminders", the lunches, dinners and the teeheehees, and for showing me that both intuition and friendship are stronger than we imagine.
Scotty: For being my most complete source of insight into Myself: Then & Now. For being my one-man-support-team, helping me to look at life with humor and of course, the male perspective.
Dad: For being both a great father and friend and for making me feel successful and invincible, regardless of what life doles out.
Michelle: For the time we spent last summer just being girls. And, of course, for the awesome interior project now in process.
Bartel: For the touch-point YIMs and calls, the faith in my abilities, the blogger and website discussions, and for reminding me that I'll always land on my feet.
MaryEllen, Joan, Ted & Trish: For providing the most wonderful community a person could ever live in. More wine, more movies, more goodies, more furniture moving, and more talks!
Louis: For great hikes, skiing, and thought-provoking discussions on books, journals, and life.
Barb: For the hikies, walkies, sushi, wine, and being a beautiful friend.
Chris: For loving me like a sister, providing my home away from home, and always being a strong, kind, kick-ass woman.
Mick: For furnishing the most welcoming crash pads, the care and feeding of Plaide and me while injured, companionship for just about anything, and warm phone calls "just to check in."
Eytan: For your outrageous humor, your "American man-boy" documentary, your willingness to eat all sorts of goo with me, and your big, warm, supportive hugs.
Kate: For sharing and comparing notes on our girls-gone-wild epic adventures of 2003. Nothing like some healthy competition! ;)
Bret: For giving me a renewed appreciation for how far I've actually come in my quest for personal growth, maturity, and wholeness.
Richard: For the pursuit of long-term friendship, making me feel beautiful, and the occasional good-food-wine-filled evening.
Christina: For those impromptu meetings and the ability to be open and available for everything.
Pete: For reaching out, even when loyalties collide.
Lisa: For your insight and perspective on love, and for understanding without explanation the pain and the joy and the reasons behind decisions that are so hard to describe.
Young: For the healthy debates, bike rides on the beach, and making me think long and hard about other viewpoints besides my own.
Flink: For all the job leads and open invitations to pop in, not to mention your hilarious sense of humor.
Neil: For being a great ski tour-guide, Cozumel invitations, and providing frozen vegetable, hot tub, dinner, and miscellaneous other therapy.
Marc: For helping to push the reset button on the last couple of years and the welcoming reception at the Magnum Bonum.
Kerri: For fast becoming one of my favorite people to hang with.
Ben: For my almost daily fix of wit, intelligence, fun, movie quotes and music. And of course, drawers full of chocolate, long lunches and the Grand Mesa.
This, of course, isn't everyone that touches my life - my deepest apologies if you're hurt that I've not mentioned you here. These are the folks who, over the last year, have contributed in some significant way towards the person I am today. I only hope that I've been able to provide as much to these special people as they've been able to provide to me. Best Wishes for the New Year to all!
