Spelunking. Camping. Did both this past weekend, in the mtns near Eagle. Posting more pix, soon. 3 friends and I snowshoed up the mtn a couple of miles to a VERY cool cave that we spent hours and hours exploring. Spectacular ice sculptures near the entrance and awesome rock formations throughout. We even found a room with an underground stream running through it! Afterwards, tired and exhilarated, we located a good campsite and set up our well-equipped snow camp. Lots of good food, wine, great conversation and warm gear rounded out a most satisfying day. We all piled into the tent and slept like babies. Spent Sunday evening with 70+ hashers (runners) doing the Hash of Lights through Lodo and staying out way past my bedtime. Excellent weekend!
