Long time no post. Yes, I know. I've taken a lot of ribbing from my geek friends in recent months for slacking on the Blogs. Well. Here's a brief update since my July post:

Got a new job as a DBA, of all things. After two years of slogging through no job or an utterly miserable job, it's such a fun gig!

Started doing some trail running with a terrifically fun group of people.

Mutually ended what had become an unfulfilling relationship.

Still living in downtown Boulder and absolutely love it.

Bought rockin' NEW SKIS and already have plans to use them.

Went caving one weekend and got totally muddy and dinged up - loved it.

Recently took a road trip with Plaide to Sante Fe and Taos - never been either place and it was so great!

Met a very cool cognitive ethologist who works with Jane Goodall and has written a few books on the subject - I took him out to lunch. What a neat guy...

Had a marathon weekend this past one: Dinner party on Friday night, hiked 10 miles on Sat, hiked 4.5 hours on Sun then went immediately to an hour long group run with festivities and libations afterwards, *then* had loads of wine and good conversation late Sun eve with another group of friends. Whew! Good thing I have a few days to recover - this coming weekend is lined up for similar fun. Got to get my Halloween costume in order!

Going to California in less than two weeks to hang with good friends.

I have a very cool life.
